I call this blog "Wilderness Girl", because like Moses, I feel it is my destiny to wander through the wilderness for 40 years until I have learned the lessons I need. Only then will I be allowed to settle down and apply them... . .

- I am complex, yet simple. I am hearty and frail. I am selfish and generous. I let my emotions prevail. I want to make some sense of it. Of Life, and Love, and God. I want to bring back the simple things. I know that makes me odd. But if you'll stay and read awhile maybe you'll start to see. Then maybe I can share with you a little part of me. MsAmber

If I were that wife, I'd hop on that horse and plow over my damn husband!
Aren't you happy I'm back, MsAmber? ;)

Science argues that women have an inbred ability to grumble. [Muttering, mumbling and whining may also apply on certain models]. It's sort of like a sixth sense that matures and reaches its optimum peak when women marry.
Nature, on the other hand, has provided for the males with early hearing loss and short attention spans.
Everyone's happy all around!
Yeah, I'm 'way glad you're back, Nicole.
This was a card given to us to congratulate our wedding.
I've always loved this picture.
I can't help but wonder if it's a real picture or if it was staged...

Reminds me of a saying in the Navy: "A bitchin' sailor is a happy sailor." Also of a plaque my daughter's mom had: "Treat your wife like a thoroughbred and she won't turn into an old nag."
